Shopping

MARKET DAYS are Saturday and Sunday in Sorata. People come from their villages to sell their vegetables and stuff, do their paperwork and shopping. They sell in the streets around the plaza or in THE CAMPESINO MARKET, going down the Calle Muñecas on the left hand side. On the right hand side there is the regular market for fruits and the common market restaurants with api, etc. On this street you can also find cheap restaurants for almuerzo and cena and the butcher’s shops. They only sell raw meat, so if you want sausages, salami or proper yellow cheese to take for trekking, bring this from La Paz. Other shops for food are around the plaza and its side streets.
