SANCTUARY OF THE VIRGIN OF COPACABANA
On Sundays you can watch the local priests blessing cars outside the church 10:30 to 14:00.

CALVARIO 1hour
A 60 minute walk past the stages of the cross to fabulous views across the lake to the islands of the sun and moon.  On your way you’ll pass by local shamans blessing miniature houses, money and buses for locals hoping to receive the same only real-size in the coming year. The Spanish built the path along an ancient Inca pilgramage site where locals went to worship thunder.

HORCA DEL INCA 45 minutes
A 45 minute walk will take to an ancient Chiripa astrological site (2000 BC). Best to visit during the winter solstice – 21 June.

MUSEO DEL PONCHO
Calle Tito Yupanqui / Costanera
If you’re passing through Copacabana with a bit of time to spare, this new museum has a collection of antique textiles that is worth a visit.
The small exhibition features a range of antique ponchos from various regions, as well as other artefacts.
Still in the process of construction, at present the museum lacks printed information but the exhibits are impressive examples of Bolivian weaving skills and the guide is very willing to answer queries.  The museum shop offers a substantial range of antique and modern items for sale.
